What is a Serial Cable?

Serial cable is the data transmission line used to connect a computer to an external device. It usually consists of a pair of data transmission lines (transmitter and receiver) as well as a ground line. The common types of serial cables are RS232, RS422, and RS485, of which RS232 is the most commonly used type of serial communication interface.

Transmission rate: the rate of the serial line can be adjusted according to the demand, the common rate of 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 and other baud.
